RESONANT BODY is founded by Cat Martino, aka wellness x artist Stranger Cat; sound healer, yogi, vocalist, producer, composer, light artist, DJ, and dancer Cat Martino. Bred in Brooklyn and now Miami, she's toured worldwide from Carnegie Hall to Coachella and the Sydney Opera House, to the mountains of Chile, and appeared singing on Saturday Night Live and the Jimmy Fallon Show.
RESONANT BODY merges the medicine of sound using crystal sound bowls, reiki infused vocal tones and mantras, synthesizer, electronics, acoustic guitar, melodic percussive hand pan, binaural beats, mixed with her handmade light sculpture chromotherapy.
When Cat had a life-threatening accident immobilizing her 6 months Doctors predicted she would not heal from, she dove deeper, turning towards blending tools of music, meditation and art to fully recover. She is passionate about aiding others in living their best lives too! Her soundscapes, light art and technology, ignite a full sensory experience rooted in both ancient healing techniques and modern evidenced science.
Cat is a certified Yoga, Breath Work, Meditation Instructor and Reiki Healer with over 15 years experience. She uniquely delivers the sanctuary of somatic healing and personal growth through sound, breath, energy and movement to find balanced wellness in body, mind, and spirit.
Having collaborated with such indie luminaries as Sufjan Stevens, Sharon Van Etten, and The Shins, to name a few, on the world stages and in studio, her music on has been featured and acclaimed in NPR, New York Times, LA Times, Pitchfork, Brooklyn Vegan, and more! She's played Art Basel Miami within her light installations, Bonnaroo, iii Points X, and more.
